The long-awaited premiere of JoJo Part 9 was announced via the JOJO Magazine 2022 WINTER, which is set to officially release on December 19. The announcement was shared by a reliable source, so fans expect the news of Part 9’s February release to be confirmed.
Longest JoJo Hiatus to Date
JOJOLands is the ninth part of Hirohiko Araki’s long-running JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. While the first six parts of the manga followed one continuity, beginning in Part 7, Araki established a new universe and a new timeline. Despite being set in a new universe from Part 7 onwards, the series’ later parts retained many elements of the series such as Stands. It even featured similarly named characters, albeit with different personalities, appearances, and powers. Typically, each JoJo part begins less than a year after the previous part’s end. Before JoJolion (aka Part 8) ended, the longest hiatus for Araki was nine months, which took place between Parts 6 and 7. Now though, if the February 2023 release date is confirmed, this will mean Araki went on an 18-month break between parts, making this the longest JoJo hiatus to date. Because of this wait, the hype for JOJOLands has been massive as many fans are excited to see what’s next for the series. The JOJOLands Details, Start Date
According to reliable sources, the new magazine issue confirmed that Part 9 is entitled The JOJOLands. Previously, it was revealed by Araki that Part 9 will be entitled JOJOLANDS – in all capital letters. Aside from the start date, there’s not a lot of info yet about the next JoJo part. Though given how it’s only a few months before its reported start date, we might get new info closer to the release. What we do know so far is that Part 9 will star a descendant of Joseph Joestar. Take note that this Joseph is not the same as the one in Battle Tendency. Instead, this Joseph was introduced in JoJolion. While fans wait for the new JoJo series’ premiere, Netflix recently released the third part of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime.
