Now, fans are theorizing that the woman whom Rogers slept with is actually connected to Peter Quill aka Star-Lord since they both share an actress in Laura Haddock.Despite the potential connection, James Gunn, who directed Laura in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film continues to shoot down the popular MCU theory. Taking to Twitter, Gunn pointed out that Meredith Quill was actually born in the late 50s or early ’60s, implying that Rogers wouldn’t hook up with a woman who’s potentially in her late teens in 1943. Responding to a fan, Gunn tweeted: “True. In that case Laura’s character who met cap in 1943 would be way too young. But considering the theory could still be plausible given how teenage pregnancies weren’t exactly taboo in the 1940s, it wouldn’t be surprising if Marvel Studios just went with it.
