James Gunn hasn’t shut down the idea of doing a third Scooby-Doo film featuring the returning cast of Matthew Lillard, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Linda Cardellini but what if the project is set in the DC Extended Universe?On Twitter, a fan caught the attention of the Guardians of the Galaxy director after he proposed the ambitious concept of the Scooby-Doo and The Suicide Squad franchises coming together for a wacky crossover. Normally, Gunn would turn down an idea from a fan if he thinks it’s absurd but surprisingly, he seems to be down with the idea.While he said that a potential crossover project isn’t exactly on his list of priorities, it’s not something that he would count out. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing it happen even if it’s a non-canon crossover. The Suicide Squad is available to stream on HBO Max.
