Is The Sandman Season 2 officially confirmed?
There are currently no plans for The Sandman Season 2. Netflix hasn’t officially renewed the fantasy series but the streamer hasn’t canceled it either, which isn’t surprising since the first season is just being released this month. Typically, the streaming giant likes to see the numbers before deciding to cancel or renew a series. There’s a lot of hype surrounding The Sandman leading up to its release, so it’s likely that a lot of fans will watch it, so we might see it renewed a few weeks after its premiere. Back in 2019, Gaiman also confirmed that he had started planning for a potential second season of The Sandman. Speaking to Radio Times: “There are three of us, the showrunner Allan Heinberg, David Goyer and me, and we’ve just finished writing the first episode, and plotting and breaking down the first two seasons, so we’ll see what happens next.” Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait years for Netflix to renew The Sandman for Season 2.
