Mandalorians first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back as super commandoes in white armor. Mandalorians were originally associated with the character Boba Fett who was not identified as a Mandalorian in the film. Later series, novels, and films in the franchise later on expanded on Mandalorians, defining being a Mandalorian as a way of life shared by all who come from different races in and around Mandalore, sharing one creed and ideology.

The first season of The Mandalorian premiered on November 2019, with the second season coming out on October 2020. The third season of the series is set to come out on February 2023.
Reports also claim that The Mandalorian was already renewed for a season 4, with rumors flying around saying the cast and crew have already resumed filming for the series.
