Also known as Isekai Yakkyoku, Parallel World Pharmacy focuses on a pharmacist who overworked himself to death and he died as young as 31 years old. Thankfully, he got reincarnated, not as his old self but in a body of a 10-year-old child, Pharma. It turns out, Pharma is the son of the respected De Médicis family who got struck by lightning and he is someone special as he has the power to determine illnesses and create medicine for them, no matter how dire. Recently, the isekai anime is gaining a lot of traction. It is produced by Studio Diomedéa. Parallel World Pharmacy has been picked up by Crunchyroll for streaming and it is directed by Keizō Kusakawa, written by Wataru Watari, and musically composed by Tatsuya Kato and Satoshi Hōno.
Is Parallel World Pharmacy Based on a Manga or Light Novel?
Yes, there is material on which Parallel World Pharmacy is based. Titled Isekai Yakkyoku, it is a light novel series written by Liz Takayama and illustrated by keepout. The light novel is published by Media Factory. So far, it has eight volumes. There is also a manga adaptation of Parallel World Pharmacy with the same title, Isekai Yakkyoku. Sei Takano illustrated it and it is released online via Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker website.
Is the Parallel World Pharmacy Light Novel or Manga Finished?
The Parallel World Pharmacy light novel series is currently on an indefinite hiatus and was last released in 2021. No word has come out yet about when will it be back but it is not officially ending so it means it is still ongoing but on a break. As for the Parallel World Pharmacy manga series, its last release was in March 2022. It is still ongoing and with the anime series gaining traction, both the light novels and manga are also getting some views, too.
