So when exactly will this horror flick be released in cinemas? Here’s what you need to know about this movie:
When Is Barbarian Release Date?
Initially, the two production companies have set an August 31 release schedule for Barbarian. But due to unspecified reasons, the Barbarian release date has been pushed to September 9th. Historically, other hit horror films have also been released in early September. There’s no reason behind this logic but it seems like this is a favored date for other horror movies like IT, The Visit, The Nun, and Insidious Chapter 2. To mention, the new Salem’s Lot will also be released by Warner Bros. on the same day as Barbarian.
Is Barbarian Coming to Netflix?
At this point, there’s no announcement yet whether Barbarian will be making its way to Netflix. But we don’t see this as something impossible. It will probably just take some time before the movie gets ready for a release on any of the popular streaming platforms.

Is There a Barbarian Trailer Online?
Yes! With the movie’s release date nearing, 20th Century Studios has released a trailer for Barbarian. The full trailer shows Tess (played by Georgina Campbell) arriving in an Airbnb rental in the middle of a thunderstorm. Without a key for the property, Tess rings the doorbell and gets surprised when another guest named Keith (Skarsgård) answers the door. After much deliberation, Tess decides to stay the night and settle the double booking that the owners made in the morning. In the middle of the night, Tess awakens to some strange noises. She heads down to the basement where she finds a rope sticking out of a wall, which reveals an underground room with Keith and another victim (played by Long) trapped inside. They are then greeted by a voice of a narrator saying that this is a behavioral modification process that “might seem overwhelming. But with a little practice, it can soon become a pleasurable experience. This is perfectly natural.” Nope. You can watch the full trailer here:
