When is the Release Date of I Am Groot on Disney Plus?
Groot has been a beloved character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that when he died in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, fans mourned his sacrifice to save the others. Rocket planted a twig which gave rise to Baby Groot who became a fan-favorite since his arrival in the MCU. Finally, everyone’s favorite Baby Groot will be having his own special series of shorts, I Am Groot, on Disney Plus which has been confirmed for release on August 10, 2022. I Am Groot will follow the adventures of Baby Groot who grows up in the galaxy with journeys along the way, giving him a chance to meet new and unusual faces throughout the years but trouble always finds a way. He will be seeing new friends, too.

I Am Groot will be produced by Marvel Studios. Kirsten Lepore will be directing the series and Ryan Little will be the head writer. Vin Diesel will return as the voice of Baby Groot with his iconic line, “I am groot.” I Am Groot is set to form part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, it remains to be a question on whether it would be a canon series since James Gunn suggests otherwise when asked online.
