In a recent interview on Empire Podcast, Jackman talks about his experience working on bringing back his Wolverine body fit upon filming for Deadpool 3, and when asked if training had gotten any easier, the actor says:

The Wolverine actor continues to say how much time he has left for his training, along with the ‘secret’ motivation behind his workout routine.

Hugh Jackman previously admitted that one of the many reasons why he was willing to return as Wolverine—and have the mutant debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—on Deadpool 3 was so he could get the chance to have the character explored with a new dynamic. And that dynamic is with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

Since the beginning, these two have been plotting teasers and foreshadowing their tandem debut through numerous videos, as well as even bantering with each other on their Twitter accounts. Interestingly, Jackman added that Deadpool and Wolverine are set to ‘hate’ each other in the upcoming film, and seeing how they have been very much in character online, we can already sense just how chaotic these two are going to be on screen.

Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release on November 8, 2024.
