That supervillain is the Kara organization’s clairvoyant cyborg, Eida, who’s been one of the most unique characters introduced in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga series ever, and it’s clear that she poses as a major threat to Konoha.
Because of her beautiful character design, mysterious background, and unique abilities, Eida has become one of the most-talked about characters in the Naruto-verse in recent months, and fans are wondering how powerful she really is, and how strong she is compared to other powerful characters like Code and Naruto. Let’s take a closer look at what Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has revealed about Eida so far, and see where she compares to the manga’s current central villain.
Who is Eida?
Eida debuted in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 56, and she was introduced as a cyborg that was cryogenically frozen in Boro’s hidden establishment for several years and was one of the few cyborgs that Amado originally created to kill Jigen. Jigen knew how dangerous Eida is, so he ordered Boro to get rid of her. However, Boro wasn’t immune to her mind control, so he kept her safe in a hidden location away from Jigen’s reach. She has a little brother named Daemon, and both of them join Code to aid him accomplish their mission to cultivate the Chakra tree and enact revenge against Konoha. However, Eida’s ultimate motives are still a mystery, but she clearly despises Amado for robbing her normal life. The cyborg wants to experience love like any other normal human, and she appears to have romantic interest on Kawaki. There’s a theory that claims that Eida could be Amado’s dead daughter or a cyborg modeled after her. If proven true, there’s a good chance that Amado could be a major threat to Konoha, according to a theory that claims that he’s a villain. What are Eida’s powers and abilities?
As with most members of Kara, Eida had been modified with advanced Scientific Ninja Tools by Amado. She has the ability to make anyone - man or woman - irresistibly in love with her. Even the powerful Code was captivated by her charms and has become like her puppet. With the exception of blood relatives and Oh Ohtsutsuki, her very presence can make anyone instantly infatuated with her to the point they lose the will to hurt her, and according to Amado, it’s impossible to escape once they become captive to her charms. Despite possessing such a powerful gift, it felt like a curse to Eida since would never find a genuine lover. Eida also has the power of Senrigan - the ability to perceive everything that’s currently happening in the world and all that has happened in the past, up to the time she was born. In Boruto Chapter 70, Eida activates her Senrigan on her left eye, and Shikimaru looks surprised to see her eye change. Thanks to her Senrigan power, Eida is able to know that Naruto and the others are stuck outside because Shikimaru “told a colleague” to lock the lab’s door in order to protect them from her inescapable infatuation jutsu. Amado telepathically explained to Shikimaru that this ability is called “Senrigan”, which lets her to see what’s happening to anywhere in the world, and it’s not limited to current events, so she can view past occurrences. “Meaning you can’t hide from her, for the most part,” says the former Kara scientist. She also uses this power to find out that Kawaki is on his way to the lab. She claims that she can only use taijutsu, but Amado noted that her combat abilities surpass Jigen’s. However, the full extent of her powers is still unknown. In Chapter 71, Eida relies on Daemon to stop Code from killing Amado, suggesting that her combat abilities are limited. In Boruto Chapter 73, Shikimaru explains Eida’s abilities to Team 7, and reveals how she can be dangerous to Konoha. According to Boruto Chapter 74 spoilers, Eida is able to fly.
Is Eida stronger than Code or Naruto?
Now that we know Eida’s powers, the main question is if she’s superior to other powerful characters like Code, Naruto Uzumaki, and Sasuke Uchiha. Since we still don’t know the full potential of Eida’s powers or Code’s powers, it’s still hard to gauge how strong she really is. Before we can compare her power level to Code, let’s remember that Code was given additional modifications as limiters to restrain his tremendous power he acquired from the White Kāma. Even with his limiters in place, Code is still apparently one of the stronger Inners of Kara, even being considered stronger than Delta. Based on what the manga series revealed so far, it looks like Code is still potentially more powerful than Eida in terms of raw power. And now that his limiters have been rescinded by Amado, as shown in the final scene of Chapter 70, it looks like Code has become even more powerful, so it’s likely that Eida’s power level is nowhere close to Code’s. However, Boruto could potentially surprise us in future chapters, so this could still change. Read More: Is Code Stronger Than Daemon and Eida in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations?
Is Eida more powerful than Naruto?
Now, let’s compare Eida’s power level to Naruto’s: Since Eida is known for her powerful charms and intel-gathering abilities, it’s clear that her combat skills are no match to Naruto or Sasuke, so in terms of strength, Naruto is far superior to Eida even without Kurama, the Nine-tailed Fox.
Naruto’s Sage Mode can easily dominate Eida in a fair fight like he did in his battle against Delta. However, a fair fight might be impossible when it comes to fighting Eida because her power to make any enemies (except blood relatives and Ohtsutsuki) fall in love with her will make their raw powers useless as they won’t be able to control their body to hurt her. As Shikimaru mentioned in Chapter 69, even Naruto and Sasuke are immune to her powers.
What are the keys to defeating Eida?
The all-powerful Eida has uniquely powerful abilities that raw power alone won’t stop. Once her enemies become captive to her abilities, they can’t escape. Her Senrigan ability also makes it almost impossible to hide any secrets from her, but it appears that Ino’s telepathic ability is able to hide Shikimaru’s communication with Amado in Chapter 70. In Boruto Chapter 57, after Code frees Eida in the Kara organization’s secret hideout, she reveals the limits of her powers. She explains that while her infatuation ability ensnares both men and women, it doesn’t affect Ōhtsutsuki and blood relatives. While this is a major weakness, it’s also something she wants to utilize to make herself happy. She wishes to have a genuine romantic connection with Kawaki. In Boruto Chapter 70, Amado reveals the limit of her infatuation ability to Shikimaru, who reacts angrily at the scientist for not sharing this crucial information sooner.
As far as we know, the series hasn’t introduced a blood relative to Eida, so it would have to be either Naruto or Kawaki who should take her down. If the theory claiming that Amado could be her father turns out to be true, the mysterious scientist will be able to kill her, but why would he kill his own daughter, especially if he’s revealed to be a villain? Since Eida is more interested in Kawaki, it’s likely that he could be the one who will end her life, but right now, there are no clear answers to Eida’s potential downfall. In Boruto Chapter 74, it looks like Sarada is somehow not affected by Eida’s abilities, so her immunity could become a key to defeating her.
