Reports reveal that the couple signed a multi-year deal with Netflix back in September 2020. The deal comes in the form of several exclusive content, including a docuseries, movies, documentaries, and children’s content. And today, the streaming service finally revealed the title of the docuseries, Harry & Meghan. Along with the title’s unveiling, a first look video of the docuseries was released on YouTube. The series, spanning across six episodes, follows the life of the couple during their early courtship and what transpired since then.
In the trailer, the couple are asked a simple question: “Why did you want to make this documentary?” Prince Harry answers this with: “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors. I had to do everything I could to protect my family.” Later in the teaser video, Meghan says: “When the stakes are this high doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” The streaming service refers to the series “as an unprecedented and in-depth documentary.” It includes “commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed.”
The press release also promises that the show will do “more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.” Right now, there is no release date announced for Harry & Meghan. The teaser video simply promises that the docuseries is “coming soon.” A spokesperson for the Palace has not given a comment after the trailer’s release. But People magazine’s source revealed that William and Kate will not be “distracted by other things” while they are visiting Boston. You can watch the teaser trailer here:
