Attack on Titan: Hajime Isayama Attends Anime NYC

It has already been confirmed that Hajime Isayama will be one of the special guests on Anime NYC’s special Attack on Titan panel. Early on, Isayama made it clear he was worried about his appearance, asking people to be nice to him during the panel. As it turns out, people had no intention of being rude to the mangaka. When he finally stepped onstage, Isayama was greeted with thunderous applause that reportedly made him tear up in happiness (via Twitter).

When Isayama finally addressed the audience, he thanked the fans who supported him after the controversial Attack on Titan ending and gave him a memorable experience at Anime NYC. “I want to express my gratitude to all fans. I wasn’t sure how to feel about the end of the story. I was having a really difficult time,” Isayama said. “Carrying heavy feelings, I was down for a long time, until yesterday when I met fans during the signing. Fans told me the ending was great and that they loved the ending and it made me happy and coming to New York was a great experience for me,” he continued. It’s great to know that Isayama received the warm welcome he deserved. After all, the mangaka spent more than a decade working on Attack on Titan and his efforts and he truly deserves the praise.

Interestingly, Isayama stated that he currently has no plans to start a new manga series. However, fans can still look forward to the last cour of Attack on Titan Season 4 which will adapt the final nine chapters of the manga.
