The sequel to Knives Out just dropped a new set of character posters spelling out its title, Glass Onion, and it teases the role of each character in the new mystery that Benoit Blanc will be solving, with the involvement of the famous Mona Lisa painting. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will see the return of Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc, carrying the letter G, the detective; with Kate Hudson as Birdie Jay, the wild card on letter L; Leslie Odom Jr. as Lionel Toussaint, the scientific mind on letter A; Janelle Monáe as Cassandra “Andi” Brand, the exec on letter S; and Dave Bautista as Duke Cody, the loose canon on the other S; spelling “Glass.” For “Onion,” there’s Edward Norton as Miles Bron, the death of the party on O; Jessica Henwick as Peg, the loyal assistant on N; Kathryn Hahn as Claire Debella, the political player on I; Madelyn Cline as Whiskey, the social butterfly on O; and the painting of Mona Lisa, the masterpiece, on N.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson under T-Street Productions, Johnson looks forward to the release of the sequel with a plea to everyone not to rearrange the letters to spell something rude. Not in the posters but included in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is Ethan Hawke whose role remains undisclosed. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, takes everyone in a new mystery where a tech billionaire named Miles Bron gathers his friends to a private Greek Island for a getaway but in a sour twist of events, one of them dies, thus, calling in the expert, Detective Benoit Blanc. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has a Netflix release on December 23, 2022.
