In a report from The Hollywood Reporter that profiled Henry Cavill’s recent exit as Superman, they revealed that Gadot’s cameo in The Flash has been removed from the film alongside Cavill following the decision to shelve Wonder Woman 3. Both of them were supposed to show up for a brief appearance. So far, neither Warner Bros., DC Studios, nor anyone involved in the film has commented on the report and confirmed whether Gadot is indeed no longer part of it as reported by the outlet.
However, The Flash Film News Twitter page disputed the report claiming that they heard from sources close to production that debunks Gadot’s removal from the film and insisted that she is still part of it. Either way, it sounds like the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 is likely resulting in a domino effect in Gadot’s involvement in the DCU and James Gunn and Peter Safran may decide (or have already decided closed doors) that they will recast the role with another actress in the new iteration of the franchise or the actress stays. We will never know for now whether Gadot is really no longer part of the film, but it wouldn’t be surprising to hear about the possibility given all the changes and decisions that are coming in the new DCU under the helm of Gunn and Safran. It is likely we will find out the answer regarding the true state of the actress’ involvement once we see the film next year.
