Even if the highly anticipated series’ premiere is just a month away, there is still no announcement on a simulcast for the anime. This is unusual given that most big anime shows already have simulcast plans announced ahead of time. Because of this lack of news, fans online are worried that they won’t be able to watch the show through official means when it premieres. Recently though, fans’ fears were slightly relieved when it was pointed out that the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is said to get a simulcast on the New York Comic-Con website. Specifically, the description for the show’s Episode 1 premiere at NYCC mentioned a simulcast by VIZ Media. Even with this, there are still fans who fear that the final Bleach arc will not be available in some regions. This is because there are reports by leakers that its streaming license has been acquired by Disney+. This prompted fans to worry about the series not being available in the US or possibly in other countries. Aside from availability, some fans are also concerned that Bleach might get censored on Disney+ if the reports are true. In case you’re unfamiliar, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is an anime adaptation of the Bleach manga’s final arc. This arc covers Volumes 55 to 74 of the manga and serves as the series’ conclusion. Studio Pierrot returns to animate the series, with direction by Tomohisa Taguchi. Also returning is the original voice cast from the anime who will be joined by members of the Bleach: Brave Souls game cast. Bleach is one of Shonen Jump’s most popular works. Written and illustrated by Tite Kubo, the manga ran from August 2001 to August 2016. The series’ initial anime adaptation ran from October 2004 to March 2012, though it did not adapt the manga’s final arc. Given this, the anime did not have a proper conclusion, meaning fans are highly anticipating its return as an anime. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will premiere in Japan via TV Tokyo in October 2022. Currently, there’s no official announcement yet on which platform it will be released outside Japan.
