This latest trailer for the next Dragon Ball Super movie was released at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2022, and it gave fans more action-packed scenes, as well as dialogue featuring the English language cast. The event also featured a Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero panel featuring voice actors Toshio Furukawa and Christopher Sabat. Super Hero features returning voice actors from the Funimation English dub. The movie stars Kyle Herbert as Gohan, Sean Schemmel as Goku, Robert McCollum as Goten, Christopher Sabat as Piccolo and Vegeta, Jeanne Tirado as Pan, Kara Edwards as Videl, and Sonny Strait as Krillin. For the new characters, Aleks Le stars as Gamma #1, Zeno Robinson as Gamma #2, and Zach Aguilar as Dr. Hedo. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a 3DCG movie and the 21st overall film in the Dragon Ball franchise. The movie was released in Japan on June 11, 2022, and it was a big box office hit, earning over 2 billion Yen during its Japanese theatrical run. The movie follows Piccolo and Gohan as they face off against the reformed Red Ribbon Army and their two powerful androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama wrote the script for Super Hero, with direction handled by Tetsuro Kodama. The movie is animated by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will release in cinemas worldwide in August and September 2022. Tickets for the film in the US and Canada are available for purchase now, with the film releasing in both English-dubbed and English-subbed options. In the US, the movie will screen in select IMAX cinemas.
