Who Are Loid and Yor in Spy x Family?
For anyone who doesn’t know, Spy x Family is about a Westalian agent codenamed Twilight who is on a mission to spy on a leader of an extremist political party. To complete his mission, he must pose as having a fake family and enroll a child in the same elite school where his target’s son is studying. Twilight, who now goes by the name of Loid Forger, adopted Anya and entered into a fake marriage with a woman named Yor Briar. What Loid does not know is that Yor is actually an assassin that goes by the name Thorn Princess. She agreed to be Loid’s fake wife to protect herself and continue working secretly as an assassin. The original plan was for Yor to become Anya’s mother during the school interview, but Yor asked Loid if she could continue the role, to which he agreed in hopes of completing his mission successfully. Do Loid and Yor End up Together?
Unfortunately, the manga is not yet finished so it is hard to determine if Loid and Yor will truly end up together or not. Based on what the manga has released so far, their relationship improves over time as they follow the dynamics of a married couple. What we can confirm for now is that Yor has feelings for Loid as she could be seen getting jealous of Fiona, a co-worker of Loid. Yor thinks that Loid will replace her with Fiona because of her cooking skills. Loid, on the other hand, tries his best not to grow attached to her or even to Anya. He wishes to prioritize his work and finish his mission as soon as possible. However, in Chapter 35, Loid did attempt to propose to Yor once again with the lines: Given this and everything that has happened in the series so far, will Loid and Yor’s pretend relationship eventually become real? Do Loid and Yor Kiss in Spy x Family?
So far, Loid and Yor have yet to kiss in Spy x Family despite some very close calls, such as in Episodes 8 and 9 of Season 1 when they were confronted by Yuri Briar. Similar to how the series teases the two characters’ feelings for one another, the potential kiss has been teased multiple times without ever happening yet.
