Did Okoye Leave The Dora Milaje in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
Okoye is quite the superlative in all its sense when it comes to serving Wakanda that she would even point a spear to her husband who was a traitor to the nation, remember the scene “For Wakanda? Without question!” That’s iconic. However, it has been a buzz around that Okoye may be leaving the Dora Milaje given that she only wore the suit a few times in the trailers but most of the time, she is wearing civilian clothes. This brings the question of whether she left the Dora Milaje in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Truth is, she didn’t. In fact, Okoye didn’t even want to leave the Dora Milaje. Seen on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Okoye left because it was an order of Queen Ramonda after she and Shuri went to get Riri Williams and Okoye came back on her own. Since she lost Shuri during their mission, Queen Ramonda stripped Okoye off of her title as the general of the Dora Milaje and she was removed from her status of being one. Thus, she becomes a normal citizen of Wakanda. This, however, does not put an end to her unwavering loyalty and service to Wakanda. Shuri offered Okoye to don a new suit, the Midnight Angel. While Okoye didn’t actually like how they are called, well, she gets a spear so it’s all good. She even asked Shuri how many did the princess make.

Who Are The Midnight Angels in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
In the comics, when some members of the Dora Milaje separated from the group, the Midnight Angels were born, a sub-group that is somewhat like a strike-force team of Wakanda. In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shuri was the one who penned the term “Midnight Angels.” It is what she called the new suit that she made and offered to Okoye. When Okoye asked how many did Shuri make, it’s not much, though, Shuri may have only created two. The suit is still a prototype, so Okoye dons the first one and then, she offered the other suit to another warrior not with the Dora Milaje, Aneka. The introduction of the Midnight Angels could possibly lead to the spin-off series that has been rumored for a long time with Okoye being the lead of the show, now with Aneka, it is possible that this new group could have their own share of adventures in the MCU. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now in theaters worldwide.
