The official Demon Slayer: Kimets no Yaiba USA Twitter account recently revealed that Demon Slayer trains are now running in LA. These trains have wrap advertisements featuring the cast of Demon Slayer. One train car features Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. There’s also another train car that features the Hashira, including Gyomei Himejima, Muichiro Tokito, Mitsuru Kanroji, Kyojuro Rengoku, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Tengen Uzui, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Obanai Iguro. According to the announcement tweet, these trains will run in the Downtown LA to Santa Monica route of the Los Angeles Metro Rail. This isn’t the first time that Demon Slayer collaborated with an actual train line. Back in November 2020, a collaboration with the Kyushu Railway Company took place. The collab featured a Demon Slayer-themed ride from which featured the 100-year-old SL Hitoyoshi sightseeing steam train. This train ride ran from Kumamoto Station to JR Hakata Station. Wondering what’s so special about Demon Slayer and trains? In case you’re unfamiliar, the first movie in the series was Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train. As its title implies, the film is set mostly inside the titular train. Released back in October 2020, Mugen Train was a runaway hit, earning over USD 500 million worldwide to make it the highest-grossing film of 2020. During its theatrical run, it also became the highest-grossing movie of all time in Japan. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime series by ufotable that’s based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge. Both the manga and the anime are among the most popular in their category, with the Demon Slayer manga becoming the ninth bestselling of all time. Want to see or ride a Demon Slayer train in Los Angeles? You can catch these trains on the Los Angeles Metro Rail E-Line which runs from the 7th Street/Metro Center to the Downtown Santa Monica station.
