Initially announced back in August, Aniplex Online Fest 2022 is happening on September 24 in Japan (September 23 evening in Pacific Time). Unlike last year’s event, it will take place both in-person and online. Both in-person attendees and online livestream viewers will be able to catch new info and activities for 19 upcoming TV anime from Aniplex.
The full schedule of the event has been shared online via the event’s official website. There, it was revealed that the event will open with a special Demon Slayer orchestra concert, followed by announcements about this year’s anime. There will be 19 anime featured during the event (not counting new announcements), though there’s no word yet on what info will be revealed. Though some of these titles might get new trailers, season announcements, official release dates, and other info. One of the highlights that fans will no doubt look forward to is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. As the next season, entitled the Swordsmith Village Arc, has been announced earlier this year, Aniplex may reveal more info at the event. Another popular anime that is likely a major highlight is Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. Following the end of Season 3 back in June, an anime movie was announced, and more info might get announced at the event. Aniplex Online Fest 2022 will happen at the PACIFICO Yokohama National Convention Hall in person. A concurrent livestream will be broadcast beginning September 24 at 12 PM JST (September 23 at 8 PM Pacific / 11 PM Eastern) on the official Aniplex YouTube channel.
