As it stands, key details about the project remain under wraps but Jackman isn’t shy to acknowledge that he may have made a huge mistake leaving the X-Men film franchise five years ago.Obviously, Jackman’s decision to retire from his Wolverine role was already set in stone prior to Logan’s release. However, he admits that seeing Deadpool for the first time made him question his judgment about quitting the franchise in the first place. Speaking with Variety, the Australian actor said the following:“I went to a screening of ‘Deadpool.’ I was 20 minutes in, and I was like, ‘Ah, damn it!’ All I kept seeing in my head was ‘48 Hours’ with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. So it’s been brewing for a long time. It just took me longer to get here. I think, actually, he’d given up. I think it was a big shock to him.
