In a recent interview with Forbes, Reynolds reflected on the exciting announcement that he did last week where he revealed that he has been sitting on it for a few weeks and also shared his happiness about the responses that it received from fans after it was posted. “I couldn’t be more excited,” he said. “I mean, especially to do it this way. Ultimately, I get to work with some of my closest friends in the world and that doesn’t happen every day working in this business. I’m thrilled and I’ve been sitting on those couple of teasers for a few weeks now. It’s one of those moments where you’re hitting send or a tweet or a post - your hand is shaking when you’re messing with the zeitgeist in a way like that. It’s been amazing.”
The actor also noted that he is also excited just like the fans to see his character and Jackman’s Wolverine have their much-awaited team-up in the upcoming film. “I feel the same way that the fans do, though. I feel as excited that this character is coming back for another ride, particularly in this context. I think it’s something that people have wanted for a long time, to get this pairing up on the big screen, and that’s what we aim to do,” he added. It really is exciting to see that Jackman’s return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 has now become official and a lot of fans were definitely delighted by it based on the responses that the news got even almost a week after it broke. There’s a lot of intrigue right now on how the characters’ team-up will look and fans are curious as well to see how they’ll connect to the MCU, now that the film is also under production by Marvel Studios.
