READ MORE: Doctor Who Season 14 Officially Starts Filming

This isn’t the first time David Tennant reprised his role on the long-running BBC show. In fact, his last appearance was on Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary Special, The Day of the Doctor, where he had a chance to be on screen with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor along with John Hurt as the War Doctor.

While this could add some evidence behind the theory of the Tenth’s Doctor’s unique abilities apart from the previous doctors, the now fourteenth doctor can’t help but confess how he felt awkward returning after so many years.

Recently speaking on ITV’s British Chat Show, This Morning (via Collider), when asked what it felt like to be back on the show, the actor compares it to the feeling of getting a ‘very lovely present’ in spite of feeling ‘awkward.’ Check out Tennant’s full comment below:

But when the actor feels his remarks are about to reveal potential spoilers on the show, he is quick to switch his remarks by saying, “We had a lovely time. Russell T. Davies is back running the show, it felt like we’d never been away.” The actor adds, “That’s all you’re getting!”

While we’ll be seeing David Tennant return for the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special in its three full episodes, slated for release in November 2023, we will also soon be welcoming the Fifteenth Doctor to be played by Ncuti Gatwa in Doctor Who’s Season 14, which has no release date yet.
