To start, cyberpsychosis happens in Cyberpunk 2077 when there is an overload with the cybernetic augmentations in a body that causes some kind of dissociative disorder leading to a mental illness. James Norris, Maine, and David Martinez experienced this in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. A new mod in Cyberpunk 2077 will let you experience the same thing. It is created by DJ_Kovrik as a Nexus-hosted mod, Wannabe Edgerunner. This uses berserk or sandevistan operating systems which decreases your humanity with your body count and the enhancements attached to you. Once you lose your humanity, you go gaga and while it doesn’t have the same depiction in the anime, it brings an authentic hallucinatory cybernetic disorder. There are three thresholds with the Wannabe Edgerunners mod which are glitches, pre-psychosis, and cyberpsychosis.

Just last month, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners stormed Netflix as one of the top anime titles that arrived in it that it easily slid its way to the top 10 roster. The anime series has been received positively by the audience and this marks CD Projekt Red’s success in the scene. Other than the anime series, CD Projekt Red has an upcoming major expansion of the game, Phantom Liberty, which will be coming out in 2023 continuing the narrative of V and Johnny Silverhand, which, by the way, experienced cyberpsychosis, too, in Cyberpunk 2013. There will also be an upcoming sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 which is currently under the project name, Orion, under CD Projekt Red North America. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is currently streaming on Netflix.
