Christian Bale recently played Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder and while his role already ended in the movie as the villain turned out to be the hero for his daughter’s return, Bale revealed that he is open to return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a different character if given a chance. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight as he promotes his upcoming movie, The Pale Blue Eye, the Batman actor, Christian Bale revealed, “A good story is a good story. A good character or a good director You know, if it’s an interesting thing. Crucially, if my kids say I’m not allowed to say no to something.” Playing Gorr the God Butcher, Christian Bale is almost unrecognizable as the villain with his hideous and bald look in Thor: Love and Thunder, and should he be given another role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is actually not impossible as a number of actors have more than one role in the franchise.

For example, Gemma Chan used to play Minn-erva in Captain Marvel then she returned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sersi in Eternals, and there’s also Benedict Cumberbatch who played two roles in one movie, in Doctor Strange, as the titular character and the villain, Dormammu. In the comics, Gorr the God Butcher comes from a planet without a name which is always on the brink of starvation, Gorr was told to trust that the gods will provide if one would pray for it. Gorr’s parents died at an early age so he had to live in such a cruel environment fending off all by himself. His wrath grew over time and he made a promise to eliminate all gods after his daughter died. In Thor: Love and Thunder, he went on a quest to get the Stormbreaker to open the gates to Eternity and get her daughter back to life, even if it meant his death.
