Speaking at the German Comic-Con panel in Dortmund (via Murdocklorian on Twitter), while Cox is hinting at the setting ‘tone’ for his upcoming Daredevil reboot, the actor also teases another potential Matt Murdock cameo. You can check out the tweeted video here. “I think… that because of the tone of our [Daredevil: Born Again] show, I think there’s a place for Daredevil to show up in Deadpool. [It] would be really cool [for that to happen],” Before the Daredevil actor jokingly adds, “Great, now there’s a news story.”

Kidding or not, a Daredevil cameo would completely seal the deal that Deadpool is canonically part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aside from Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine joining the party, this would also open up what Kevin Feige previously confirmed: that more mutants are coming on screen.

While plot details for Daredevil: Born Again are still being kept under wraps, Charlie Cox’s hinted tease for the similarity of tone they set with the reboot and Deadpool 3 are similar means the showrunners have taken a more interesting spin on the character’s journey. Not only will the reboot showcase more about the beginnings of Matt Murdock in Hell’s Kitchen as the Man Without Fear, it could possibly feature time traveling.

Deadpool 3’s plot details, too, may be kept under wraps, but with the end credits of Deadpool 2 basically showcasing Negasonic Teenage Warhead handing over the repaired Cable’s time machine, this could possibly mean time traveling for the threequel, which would connect Ryan Reynolds’ anti-hero into the multiverse via time travel.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to release with 18 episodes in Spring 2024 with no exact date yet. On the other hand, Deadpool 3 is slated for release on November 8, 2024.
