Chadwick Boseman has been nominated for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for the What If…? episode What If… T’Challa Became a Star-Lord? that explored the possibilities if the future Black Panther was taken by Yondu Udonta instead of Peter Quill. Although he is being nominated for this particular performance, Boseman voiced his character in four episodes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe animated series.
Not surprisingly, people are delighted by the nomination. The official Chadwick Boseman Twitter account, which is now being handled by his family, shared an excited post about the Emmy nod.
“What an incredible honor! Thank you to the @televisionacad for Chad’s posthumous #Emmys nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over for his roll in as T’Challa in the animated series #Whatif…? from @DisneyPlus and @MarvelStudios,” the tweet read.
We’re certainly happy for Chadwick Boseman’s family and the nomination is an awesome confirmation that his talent shone through in his final performance.
