So what can we expect when the Star Wars alum joins the MCU? Captain America 4 producer Nate Moore is hyping up Harrison Ford’s new role and is teasing a lot of tension between Sam and General Ross. Nate Moore recently spoke to Collider where he shared his excitement for Captain America: New World Order. “Well, look, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, he is going to bring his own team to play. It’s no secret that Samuel Sterns is making his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is fantastic because Tim Blake Nelson’s the best,” Moore said before teasing the anticipated reunion between the former Falcon and the Secretary of State.

“Harrison Ford is taking on the role of General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, and to see Sam Wilson and Thunderbolt Ross – which if you remember actually threw him in prison at the end of Civil War because he violated the Sokovia Accords,” Moore said. “There’s going to be some natural sparks there, which I think are going to be really fun.” It’s unfortunate that the late William Hurt will not be able to share another scene with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. Nevertheless, we’re looking forward to Harrison Ford’s version of Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America 4. Captain America: New World Order will be directed by Julius Onah and bring back Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly as Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, respectively. Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his role as Samuel Sterns / Leader from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk while Shira Haas has been cast as Sabra. The film will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
