The official Twitter page of the anime shared a new artwork of Ichigo and Rukia in their new designs, and as you can see below, the orange-haired protagonist looks much taller than his friend.
“Commercialization planning is in progress for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Ichigo and Rukia artwork has been released early. Official product information will be shared one by one on this official Twitter, so please check them out,” the tweet reads. As the artwork shows, Ichigo is wielding a sharp blade, and he looks ready to fight. Beside her, you can see Rukia’s petite frame is wearing black-white robes. On her arm, there’s a familiar badge denoting her as a Vice Captain in the Gotei 13. For those unfamiliar with the final arc of Tite Kubo’s manga, the synopsis of the Thousand-Year Blood War reads: “The Wandenreich, a group within the Quincy, will finally rise to strike back against the Shinigami and the Soul Society, resulting in an all-out war between the two factions. The world of the Soul Society is also under siege from a dramatic imbalance of Hollows being destroyed.” Bleach’s Thousand-Year Blood War anime series is scheduled to release this October.
