Black Panther: Wakanda Forever marks the very first appearance of Namor McKenzie a.k.a. the Sub-Mariner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villain of the film but given the publication history of Namor, it is highly likely that he will emerge as a hero, too.
In a chat with Variety, Tenoch Huerta was asked what it is like to be Namor in the MCU, “I mean, everybody pretends to be a superhero or to be part of [these] movies, and then you are part of them, and then you are the superhero, and then you are wearing the costume. And it’s your skin, your voice, your range, your talent, your story. I don’t know, it’s overwhelming.”
It has been a year since the rumors circled around Huerta playing Namor in the MCU and their camp remained silent until the first trailer of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was unveiled during the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.

The teaser of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever contains a lot of Easter eggs for what is to come for the sequel and the arrival of Namor remains one of the main highlights of the movie.
It is fitting that Namor will finally make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it is a high time for mutants to make their way into the franchise. The addition of Namor into the narrative would expand the MCU yet again as the undersea takes the center stage.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever deals with the aftermath of the death of Chadwick Boseman and his character in the film, King T’Challa. Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and the Dora MIlaje forges a new path for Wakanda with the help of Nakia and Everett Ross but they face an unlikely force with the undersea nation that Namor leads.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres in theaters on November 11, 2022.
