On Twitter, the hashtag #BLEACHTYBW trended in various countries with thousands of tweets. This goes to show that the anime is continuing to get fans excited which is a great sign for the rest of its four-cour run.
Fan Reactions to Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 4
Back when the first episode premiered at New York Comic Con ahead of its airing, Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) already got a great reception thanks to its great animation that was considered movie-level by many fans. Soon, fans got to finally see the series’ first episode when it aired on October 11 on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in select countries. As expected, fans praised the series’ long-awaited return, especially for its movie-level fight scenes. The series is not without criticisms though. One of the biggest complaints about it is the lack of availability in select countries in Europe and Latin America. Because of this, some fans are left with no legal way to stream the series. Another complaint about the series is that some fights in Episode 3 have a dip in quality. There were fans who mentioned online that they were disappointed, especially considering the level of animation in the first two episodes. Despite these criticisms, the fan sentiment online is positive overall for the series as fans are still enjoying the Bleach anime’s return after over a decade. The fourth episode in particular drew praise for its action scenes. RELATED: How Many Episodes Will Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Have?
Bambietta’s Appearance Delights Bleach Fans
While the animation quality of Episode 4 was praised, another thing that delighted fans is the appearance of Bambietta Basterbine. Specifically, fans loved her epic entrance and fight against the Soul Reapers. In case you need a refresher, Bambietta is a Quincy and a member of the Sternritter. She carries the designation “E” – “The Explode.” Despite what her looks suggest, Bambietta is cruel and sadistic as she screams in joy when she rips apart her foes. This contrast between her appearance and her personality is a likely reason she stole the show in Episode 4. If you can’t get enough of Bambietta after Bleach: TYBW Episode 4, you’ll want to catch the fifth episode when it releases next week.
