According to Denise Gough, who plays Dedra Meero in the hit Disney+ series, the funeral monologue originally uttered the phrase “F*ck the Empire” before Disney stepped in and watered it down to “Fight the Empire”. Speaking with Empire Magazine (which is honestly quite fitting), Gough explained what went through filming the finale sequence and what could have been.She shared: “Fiona’s voice was over all of us. Except, at the end, she didn’t say, ‘Fight the Empire!’ She said, ‘Fuck the Empire!’ Which we were all really excited about.
