Alice in Borderland Season 2 Trailer Teases Face Card Games
It’s no secret that Alice in Borderland Season 2 will be all about the Face Card games. This is made clear in the trailer as Ryohei Arisu, Yuzuha Usagi, Hikari Kuina, Kodai Tatta, and Suguru Niragi make their way into a harbor and face Ginji Kyuma aka the King of Clubs. Arisu clearly wants answers, asking Kyuma who they are and learning that they are the residents of the Borderlands who host the games in the Second Stage. There is some footage of what happens in the King of Clubs game which is also known as Osmosis in the manga.
The King of Clubs isn’t the only Face Card game that is teased in the trailer. We also get a glimpse at the King of Spades aka Survival as well as what appears to be the King of Diamonds. There is even a tease at Arisu and Usagi facing Mira Kano in the Queen of Hearts game which is the final game in the Second Stage.
What Happens in Alice in Borderland Season 2?
As confirmed, those who survived after all the Number Card games have been completed are now expected to take part in the Face Card games. However, the trailer also hinted at Arisu and Usagi learning more about how they ended up in the Borderlands in the first place. Additionally, Arisu believes that completing the Second Stage means having the chance to return to their own world.
Alice in Borderland Season 2 will bring back Kento Yamazaki as Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi, Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya, Aya Asahina as Hikari Kuina, Dori Sakurada as Suguru Niragi, Sho Aoyagi as Aguni, Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann, and Riisa Naka as Mira Kano. The brief teaser featuring the first season cast actually didn’t feature Yutaro Watanabe who plays Koda Tatta in the series. The second season of Alice in Borderland will return on Netflix on December 22, 2022. Get the latest news and trends direct to your feed by following us on Twitter @epicstreamanime or on Facebook.
