Just days after Netflix released the third movie of the franchise, The Next 365 Days, Morrone has taken to Instagram to share a cryptic post that seems the possibility of a fourth movie. He clearly expressed his interest in returning as Massimo Torricelli, the dominant Sicilian man who imprisoned and imposed a Polish woman Laura Biel (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) a period of 365 days for which to fall in love with him. “The end of something is always a little bit sad.. but.. who knows…," Morrone said in a post accompanied by a couple of images of his character from the 365 Days movies. The post sparked a lot of speculation among his fans who see it as a major hint that 365 Days 4 could be in the works at Netflix.
“I mean.. It’s pretty obvious there is going to be a fourth movie,” said one follower, referring the open-ended nature of the third movie. “Well we need a part 4.. can’t just leave it like that!!!!," commented another follower. At the end of The Next 365 Days, it’s unclear if Laura ultimately ends up with Massimo and Nacho, and there was too much music, without much closure between the two lead actors. It’s easy to see why Netflix would decide to confirm a fourth movie despite the massive amount of negative reviews the 365 Days movies received: The films still drew massive viewership from Netflix audiences globally, and fans and viewers craving for steamy entertainment on the streaming service will surely watch another 365 Days movie.
Is 365 Days 4 coming to Netflix?
As of Oct. 1, 365 Days 4 hasn’t officially been confirmed. In May 2021, it was confirmed that Netflix had started filming two sequels to 2020’s 365 Days concurrently, and this comes after the plans were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The streaming giant just released those two sequels this year: 365 Days: This Day premiered on Netflix on April 27, and The Next 365 Days premiered on August 19, so it’ll likely take more than a year before production for a fourth movie is officially confirmed. It’s also possible that 365 Days directors Barbara Białową and Tomasz Mandes are waiting for Blanka Lipińska to complete a new novel in her erotic series, but at the time of this writing, neither the filmmakers nor the author have confirmed any plans to adapt another book. If they were to continue the story of Massimo, Laura, and Nacho, it’s probably more ideal to do it in a TV series format instead of movies with cliffhanger endings.
